Lodge Postings

Lowcountry Food Bank Assistance

Jerry Jarvis is needing volunteers to join him Saturday, June 2 for about three hours, to pack food in boxes at the Lowcountry Food Bank Distribution Warehouse in Charleston. The boxes will be taken to various food pantries, churches and other locations through out many counties in South Carolina.

Please put your name on the sign up sheet at the lodge before May 27. The Food Bank needs time to get set-up for us, so I will notify them as to how many of us they can expect. They do not allow people to wear Tank Tops or sandals - sneakers were suggested. If you have a Elks Lodge Shirt or Hat please wear them.

We will meet at the lodge at 8:15 and car pool to the Food Bank at 2864 Azulea Dr., North Charleston, SC.

Around the Holidays, we may think more of the need to help hungry people, but children are about to be out of school for summer where they may have gotten the only hot meal of the day. Our help to get food to those who need it will be great.

Any questions, please see me at the lodge or call me at (413) 329-5078.

Charleston Riverdogs

August 18, 7:05 pm, at “The Joe.” The Charleston Riverdogs are honoring our beautiful town with the 1st ever Town of Summerville Night. There will be a section reserved for our Lodge, so please sign up soon so we can begin reserving our seats. We need a minimum of 25 to hold a section of seats. The cost of the tickets for that night are only $5.00 – however, as a Lodge fund-raiser, we are charging $10.00 with the extra $5.00 going toward our ENF goal. There will be a sign-up sheet on the Lodge bulletin board, and I will begin accepting your cash or checks at any time. Checks are to be made out to me, and in turn, I will pay for the group of tickets. This will be another fun evening, so bring your entire family and friends.
