Welcome to the new Elks Lodge 2719 website.  First and foremost, this is your website and I will make every effort to maintain an updated and informative site.  

While the site will focus principally on Elks Lodge 2719, I hope to add additional articles, humor, tech tips, etc. that may be of general interest.  The site will continually be a work in progress.  I'll be the first to admit, I'm left brained which means I don't have a creative or imaginative bone in my body.  Therefore, I will be relying (read begging, pleading, cajoling, etc.) on fellow Elks to serve as my right brain and provide some input.

My email address is wblazer@sc.rr.com.  Alternatively, catch me at the Lodge.  Other commitments notwithstanding, I always try to be there on Wednesday, Friday and Saturdays.

In the June Newsletter I announced that I had set up a bulletin board. Unfortunately, I've had to retire that section. I suddenly started getting bombarded with email from cretins attempting to sign up for it. The email addresses provided by these individuals were obviously bogus. I suppose that is the world we live in today, where there are deranged individuals who think it is cute to play such games. One thing is for sure...they'll never be Elk material or material for any other organization.

Well, it seems that except for minor updates (calendar, notices, newsletter, etc.) the site has fairly well stabilized. That is not to say that I'm no longer looking for suggestions for additions, improvements or other articles of interest. So, if you have a stroke of inspiration, please pass it along.

I'm having some problems with the website at present. It seems the web host company made some changes to the server and I'm having trouble getting the pages to display correctly (as they did under the old system). If you are experiencing trouble, please let me know. I'm now at the point of considering re-doing the site entirely.

Over the past two days, I've made some changes to the site. First, the dropdown menus are gone and every menu selection is listed. Links to individual photos of the officers have been added (Thanks, June). Still some things are out of date and I'll get around to those eventually. Some other minor changes just to sort of spiffy up the site a bit (spiffy - old Navy term).

As usual, if anyone has any suggestions, I'd love to hear them.
